Wolves Cross Country teams see success in Killdeer

David Gumke
Guest Columinst

It was a quick trip to Killdeer for a fast 3K race in cold and windy conditions to end our regular season for the high school runners. Now we continue to train and mentally prepare for the state meet on Oct. 26th in Jamestown at Parkhurst Recreation Area. The middle school runners will make a trip to the Middle School Championships in Bismarck at McDowell Dam on Friday, Oct. 18th.
We had three T-shirt winners in Killdeer. Dehico Bocanegra Tovar and Judah Mithchell by placing in the top 20 in the 3K and Lincoln Weber by placing in the top 5 in the 1600m. Sudora Bohn ran a good race to lead the girls team just missing the top 20. Ashlyn Mayden, who has not been able to run because of a knee injury, was able to run in her first race of the season.  We are very excited to see her run.
