Wolves blow out North Shore 68-32 in boys cage action

The Watford City boys basketball team got its season back to .500 this past week as the Wolves cruised by the North Shore/Plaza/White Shield Wildcats, 68-32, in district action.
With the upcoming Christmas break, Watford City’s next action will be on Jan. 6 when the Wolves host Killdeer.

In a very ragged game, Watford City cruised to an easy win over North Shore/Plaza/White Shield, 68-32, last Thursday evening.
The Wolves led the Wildcats, 16-8, at the end of the first stanza, and then blew the game open in the second quarter outscoring NS/P/WS 15-6. Watford City outscored the Wildcats, 37-18, in the final two quarters to take the win.
Four Watford City players hit double figures in the win with Shawn Fulwider posting a game high 15 points for the Wolves with Tyler Flatland, Nick Liebel and Trey Jacobson netting 14, 12 and 10 points, respectively for the Wolves.
Rounding out the scoring for Watford City was Curtis Lohse with nine points, Jason Shipman with four points, while Tyler Bates and Sterling Ross ended the game with two points each.
