Watford boys take 4th at golf invite

The Watford City Wolves took fourth at the Watford City Invitational Golf Tournament last Tuesday with a team score of 364. Kenmare won the tournament with a score of 345, while Tioga and Lewis & Clark finished in second and third with scores of 351 and 363, respectively.
Mitchell Liebel finished in sixth place individually, as he carded an 18-hole score of 87. Also scoring for Watford City was Colter Maki, 89; Korbin Knutson, 92; Cody Johnson, 96; Jake Rogness, 97; and Jonathan Dunn, 107.
Other teams competing in the tournament were Divide County, 373; Stanley, 397; Des Lacs-Burlington, 401; and New Town/Parshall, 405.
The Wolves also competed in the Northwest Conference Meet in Kenmare on May 9 with Watford City taking second with a score of 342. Kenmare won the tournament with a score of 327.
Watford City scores were Jonathan Dunn, 84; Cody Johnson, 85; Mitchell Liebel, 85; Colter Maki, 88; Charles Villanueva, 94; and Korbin Knutson, 98.
Other team scores were Lewis & Clark, 342; Tioga, 347; Stanley, 355; Divide County, 361; Des Lacs-Burlington, 391; Bowbells, 450; and Burke Central, 552.
