Lund inducted into North Dakota High School Wrestling Hall of Fame

Rowdy Lund graduated from Watford City High School in 2008, as one of the most accomplished wrestlers for Watford City and in North Dakota history. This year, Lund was recognized for his amazing career and inducted into the North Dakota Wrestling Hall of Fame.


Lund won three state championships: at 145 pounds as a senior, at 140 pounds as a junior and at 125 pounds as a sophomore. He also appeared in four region championships, winning three of them. He placed at State an impressive five times and was a four-time State finalist, during his wrestling career that lasted from 2003 to 2008.


Lund holds many school records including 93 consecutive wins, 112 tournament match wins and 20 consecutive tournament championships in his career. He went 36-0 in his junior season and 44-0 in his senior season. He had 350 career takedowns and ended his career with a record of 176-33-1, a winning percentage of 84 percent.
