The Watford City Wolves started their 2024-25 season with a road loss at Williston on Saturday afternoon. “I thought that the first 10 minutes of the game went well,” said Watford City Head Coach, David Gumke. “We looked like the better team through that stretch. The guys played solid defense and were very active with good effort and communication. We did have some issues finishing some shots at the basket that if they go down would have helped to build confidence to continue to play with or ahead of them. Our struggles came because of our turnovers mostly against their press but also because of not protecting the ball as the ball handler.”
The game was close for much of the first half, but once the Coyotes got on a roll, there was no slowing them down.
