Alexander concluded their regular season with an impressive 48-21 win at home over Divide County. Once again, a great first quarter propelled the Comets to victory. “The boys made it a point to deliver our three seniors (Jordan Hernandez, Shane Cross and Sean Alfaro) a win in their final home game of the regular season,” said Alexander head coach, Trey Jacobson. “We got off to another fast start putting up 24 first quarter points and the kids never looked back.”
Alexander’s rushing game averaged an astounding 13.3 yards per carry as they totaled up 387 yards on 29 attempts. Hernandez led the way with 205 yards, four touchdowns and an average of 18.6 yards per carry. The defense created two turnovers as they limited the Maroons to 21 points.
