Angela Kobeski doesn’t let any grass grow beneath her feet. Besides participating every season of junior high athletics, the 14-year-old Watford City teen has proudly earned her black belt in Shudokan Karate, showcasing her incredible skills and years of commitment. Angela, who began her training at Watford City Karate at the age of five, has consistently demonstrated dedication and resilience to accomplish this impressive feat.
Angela reflected on her journey, giving much credit to her instructors, Kalissa Robertson and Tim Hartranft, who are both accomplished martial artists in their own right. “I’ve been doing Karate for eight years, and I’ve had the same instructors the whole time.” Despite juggling multiple sports, including basketball and volleyball, she has remained committed to her Karate training. In fact, she cites her participation in sports as helping her to achieve the necessary fitness level for the test: “I was able to pass the physical test because I’ve been doing so many other sports, which I also love.”
