State offers grants for hotels, motels, lodges and resorts

The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced that $20 million in grant funds are available for round two of the Hospitality Economic Resiliency Grant PLUS. The new round of grants will be open for applications at 10 a.m. on March 9.
“North Dakota’s lodging sector lost more than $178 million in visitor spending in 2020 with demand continuing at depressed levels to start off 2021,” stated Shawn Kessel, interim commerce commissioner. “These businesses are vital to our communities for visitors and the local workforce and supporting business.”
