Regional Stockmen’s relief fund to aid ranchers affected by wildfires

North Dakota ranchers, ever resilient in the face of harsh conditions, are facing the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that ravaged approximately 126,000 acres of land this fall. In response to the catastrophic losses suffered by these landowners, two organizations have stepped in to help.The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) and the North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation have established the Out of Ashes Relief Fund to assist ranchers impacted by the October wildfires.“We’ve done it in the past with a variety of harsh conditions: blizzards, spring storms, you name it.” said Jason Leiseth, President of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation, highlighting the organization’s history of providing aid during times of crisis.
