For nearly half a century, the melodious notes of the First Lutheran Church in Watford City have been guided by the skilled hands and compassionate heart of Caroline Schwartz. As the church’s organist and choir director, Schwartz has dedicated her life to nurturing the community’s musical spirit.
Schwartz began her tenure in 1975, and since then, she has been an integral part of the church’s musical fabric. From leading the junior and senior choirs to directing the bell choir, she has fostered a love for music in countless individuals. Her unwavering commitment to her craft has resulted in countless memorable performances, including the annual Christmas Cantata, which will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m.
“She’s just an inspiration,” says Donna Rauser, long-time congregant and choir member. “She’s always there, no matter what. She’s dedicated, committed, and always willing to go the extra mile.”
