Hoeven discusses future of U.S. Forest Service land

Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) held a roundtable for western North Dakota farmers and ranchers, and area oil and gas producers. A press release from Hoeven, the ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, explained that he hosted U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Chief Randy Moore and western North Dakota grazing associations and local oil and gas producers “as part of his efforts to ensure access to public lands for multiple uses, including grazing, energy development and tourism, among other priorities.”
Hoeven emphasized the importance of meeting with all of the stakeholders, including energy producers and those with grazing rights, in the development of the USFS’s Travel Management Plan (TMP).
