On Friday, March 28, Watford City High School welcomed Steve Emt, a speaker with the Drive to Save Lives organization, a group of speakers nationwide, sharing positive messages in schools and communities.
Steve spoke with our high school students just one day before prom. He shared how his life was affected by drunk driving. Steve’s message was powerful, and he talked about how he drew from his tragedy, and turned his life around. Steve lost his ability to walk in the crash but now he is a paralympic athlete.
Steve Emt’s visit was put together in a joint effort between the Watford City High School Student Council Ambassadors, our high school S.A.D.D Chapter (students against destructive decisions), and our Vision Zero students. The Watford City Police foundation generously sponsored our speaker, aiming to spread a good message to our student body.
Watford City High School was excited to host Steve and are very grateful to our generous sponsor for helping make the day happen.
