BREAKING NEWS - MCSO apprehends convicted sex offender

According to a release from the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office today, convicted sex offender, Kenneth Warren was taken into custody on Wednesday, Feb. 5, for attempting to lure a child.
The release states in part: “Kenneth Warren, 19, was arrested in McKenzie County after Warren was planning to meet with a 12-year-old girl in our community. Warren had sent illicit photographs and had intentions of having sexual acts with this child.
Warren was previously arrested in August of 2023, for several charges which led Warren to become a registered sex offender in our community. Warren is also under the supervision of North Dakota Parole and Probation.”
Law enforcement stated that upon the arrest, Warren was in possession of a cellular device which contained several social media / chat accounts not registered through the sex offender registry, as well as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Warren is currently in custody at the McKenzie County Correctional Facility with the following charges pending;
-Luring a Minor <15 years of age (C Felony)
-Failure to register as a sexual offender (C Felony)
-Failure to register as a sexual offender (C Felony)
-Failure to register as a sexual offender (C Felony)
-Failure to register as a sexual offender (C Felony)
-Possession of certain material prohibited (C Felony)
Warren will be seen in court for a bond hearing on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
