Andrist Trust provides funds to local groups

The Long X Arts Foundation and the Maah Dah Hey Trail Foundation were two of the 15 organizations in western North Dakota that received grants from the John & Elaine Andrist Charitable Trust.
Overall the trust awarded grants totaling $258,329 to organizations seeking to improve the quality of life in western North Dakota. These grants mark the seventh funding cycle of community investments to come from the Trust since its establishment in 2018. The cumulative amount of grants awarded since inception is over $1.4 million.
The Maah Daah Hey Trail Association received $20,680 toward matching funds for recreation trail restoration and surfacing projects, while the Long X Arts Foundation received a $6,800 grant for weekly summer musical events in Watford City.
