AS I SEE IT

There is nothing more sacred to democracy than people exercising their right to vote for the people that they would like to serve them.
And on Tuesday, June 14, residents in the county will have just that opportunity as they head to the polls to cast their votes as to whom they would like to see represent them on city councils, park boards and school boards.
Our local elected officials are the heartbeat of our schools, cities and park boards. They are the officials that decide what are the most important projects that are going to be funded in our cities, parks, and school districts. And they are ultimately the ones who decide how much taxes we are going to be paying.
